From January 19–25, 2025, the Carnival Magic transformed into a floating rock festival, sailing from Miami to St. Thomas and Half Moon Cay. ShipRocked 2025 featured performances by Parkway Drive, Hollywood Undead, Nothing More, The Struts, and more.
Behind the scenes, a dedicated production team delivered an immersive concert experience across multiple venues on the ship.
The lighting design for ShipRocked 2025 was crafted to enhance each performance’s energy and mood. The team created captivating light shows that complemented the artists’ sets using state-of-the-art lighting fixtures, including moving heads and LED arrays. The strategic use of lighting highlighted the performers and transformed the ship’s venues into immersive visual environments.
Adapting stage designs to the unique spaces aboard the Carnival Magic required creativity and precision. The production crew constructed versatile stages that accommodated a variety of performances, ensuring optimal visibility and engagement for the audience. These stages were engineered to withstand the ship’s movements while providing a stable platform for dynamic performances.
Video elements played a crucial role in enhancing the overall experience. High-definition LED screens and projection systems were strategically placed to display live feeds, visual effects, and thematic content, enriching the storytelling of each performance. This integration ensured that every attendee, regardless of their location on the ship, had a front-row visual experience.
